Employees are no Longer Obliged to Submit to the CNPS Online Identification Procedure
Employees are no longer obliged to submit to the CNPS online identification procedure, says the Minister of Finance. In the context of the congestion of the online registration platform for natural person taxpayers, the Minister of Finance informs employees of the public sector and those of the private sector affiliated to the National Social Security Fund (CNPS) that tax administration is gradually making the Unique Identifier Numbers available to all employers (NIU) of their employees.
The Unique Identifier Numbers must be entered on the various payslips and will be used for all operations of a fiscal nature.
Consequently, all salaried taxpayers who have not yet obtained their tax number are exempted from the online tax registration procedure already carried out on their behalf by the Tax Administration.
In addition, the mandatory deadline for the production of the NIU or tax registration certificate for operations of an economic nature is postponed to January 1, 2021.
